ASRG Amsterdam Meetup: Hack a car. Vehicle Penetration Testing with real cars
Friday, 10 November 2023
6pm – 8pm CEST

In-person event! We will focus on hacking cars and vehicle cyber security.

John Heldreth Founder of the Automotive Security Research Group Amsterdam will be on-site for questions and demos.

Robert Leale, expert and founder of the Car Hacking Village (found at Def Con, Hardwear IO, Hack In The Box, and other cyber security conferences) will be on-site for questions and presentations.

Come to network and talk to industry professionals. Learn new skills, inquire about job postings, and find local vehicle hackers and technically-minded individuals.

We will have several areas in which you will be able to do a (somewhat) guided activity.

In-vehicle, live demonstration of Vehicle Penetration testing functions using Vehicle Networks such as CAN Bus and Vehicle Protocols such as UDS and DoIP.

In-person networking with many automotive professionals in attendance.
Quick demonstrations of tools and techniques as well as an introduction to a virtual vehicle simulator intended for learning vehicle penetration testing techniques.

We’ll have a host of tools for vehicle electronic evaluation such as CAN Bus, Ethernet, and other specialized tools for directly connecting to the vehicle as well as our associates who can assist visitors in using the tools to interrogate our target vehicles.

We will start at 18:00. Free drinks and snacks are arranged. All you have to bring is your laptop and a good sense of humor.

We will close out the meetup at 20:00 but it ends when we’re done hacking!
